Emerald Isle Beach and Watson House Engagement | Erin + Ned
Erin and Ned love the beach! Emerald Isle will be the setting for their October wedding later this year, so it only made sense to spend some time near the water for their engagement photos this summer. We first spent some time at their wedding venue, the gorgeous Watson House before heading to the sandy beaches nearby for sunset.
How did he propose?
He awkwardly asked me to be his girlfriend, so he stayed true to his character and was also very awkward when he proposed. We were walking our dogs on the beach and they tend to be a little crazy so I was ready to go. When I turned to walk back towards the house he grabbed my arm to spin me around and got down on one knee and said “well the time has come.” I couldn’t help but to burst out laughing because I wouldn’t expect anything else from from him!
What makes you unique, either as a couple or individually?
We both love to laugh and joke around and are very sarcastic. We know how to make each other smile even when the other is in a bad mood and doesn’t want to.
Why did you choose the location for your engagement session?
Part of it was at our wedding venue, The Watson House, which is so pretty and of course we got love it and can’t wait to get married there. The other part was on the beach which is our favorite place to be, so choosing a location for us was pretty easy!
