Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden Wedding | Lucia + Sean

Summer Wedding in the Garden

High school sweethearts, Sean and Lucia, immediately fell in love with the stunning flowers, amazing artwork and relaxed atmosphere found at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. After dating for nearly seven years, the newly engaged couple knew the gardens were perfect for the celebration they had been dreaming about since forever.

Sean and Lucia knew they wanted a “simply classic” celebration combined with “southern fun”; the gardens created the perfect atmosphere with the beautiful summer blooms. The reception, which welcomed family and friends of all ages, was full of fun, dancing, mac-and-cheese, and even games like, corn-hole and giant Jenga. The market lights and beautiful floral arrangements set the mood of establishing the importance of family and friends while celebrating the love these two have shared and will continue to share.

The day overflowed with the love of family and friends, the scent of a sweet southern night, and the pure joy exuberating from the couple."Something that made our wedding really special was that we had children celebrate with us. Children are a huge part of my life as a teacher and family is a huge part of our lives. We wanted all ages of our family to be there! The sweet children definitely made the day even more special. All of the little girls thought that I looked like a princess!" said Lucia.

Lead photographer James Nix had to leave the wedding shortly after the toasts in order to be present at the birth of his first son, who decided to join the world three weeks early. Second photographer Jason Miczek took over to capture the beauty and fun of the night. Lucia and Sean absolutely love the fact they get to share their wedding date with Grayson Nix's birthday.
